About Oxford House

We are located in Oxford House, Manitoba.

Oxford House is a First Nations Cree community in Northern Manitoba, located on the Oxford House 24 Indian Reserve. The community is located along the eastern shore of Oxford Lake at the mouth of Hayes River, 950 kilometres North of Winnipeg. The Hayes River was designated a Canadian Heritage River in 2006

We have two schools in our community, Oxford House Elementary School K- 6, and the 1972 Memorial High School 7 – 12. Also there is a community arena for ice hockey in the winter and community events during the summer.

Our community has LTE cell phone coverage from Bell Mts, as well as from Virgin Mobile, Telus Mobility, and Rogers.

Northern Store is available for groceries and general items, they also have a deli express for snacks, pizza and sandwhiches.

Tim Hortons Express is also available at the Northern location for coffee and donuts only. The CanadaPost office branch is also located in the Northern Store
